Job Description

  1. Knowledge of Burtons Grill’s recipe and quality standards and 100% adherence.
  2. Ability to prepare food to Burtons Grill recipe standards.
  3. Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work.

  10. Oral Comprehension & Expression: The ability to listen to, understand, and communicate information and ideas in spoken word. The ability to speak so that others understand.
  11. General Physical Activity: Performing activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, stooping and standing at length. Including the ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
  12. Ability to work in very hot and very cold temperatures.
  13. Coordination: Adjusting actions in relation to others’ actions; particularly in small spaces.

As a member of the Burtons Grill staff your primary responsibility is to work as part of a team to provide all guests with superior food and service in a safe, clean, and hospitable environment. As a member of the Burtons team, you must always abide 100% by Burtons Grills core values regarding your treatment of guests, other team members, managers and Burtons’ property. The specific knowledge, skill and ability requirements associated with your role as a BOH team member (line cook, dishwasher, prep cook, assembly, and BOH utility) are listed below:

  • Minimum of 1 year of food preparation experience required
  • Experience with quantity food preparation preferred
  • Demonstrate cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipes
  • Knowledge of proper nutritional requirements
